报告介绍： china has evolved from a marginal player in the international s&t system to a major player in international s&t affairs. it has become a preferred site for r&d by many multinational companies. moreover, chinese companies such as huawei, baidu and tencent have come engaged in establishing multiple r&d centers abroad. in addition, chinese leaders hope that as chinese indigenous r&d capabilities improve, china will become as much of a rule maker as a rule taker in the global r&d system. this talk will highlight these changes in the behavior, posture and positioning of china in the international s&t system and assess the implications for china in the future.
