xiamen university (xmu), founded in 1921, has long been listed among china’s leading universities on the national "211 project", "985 project" and “double first-class” initiative. to fulfill its founder, mr. tan kah kee’s aspirations of “empowering the nation through education”, xmu has accumulated rich experience and formulated its own educational distinctives in its operation. nowadays xmu proudly stands as a comprehensive institution of higher education with a prestigious global reputation. xmusm has its roots in the university’s original business division since xmu’s inception, one of the university’s first academic departments. driven by our school’s noble mission of “pioneer research, cultivate talent, propagate management culture and advance social progress” and our vision of “from the strength of the south to china’s most distinctive international business school”, all the faculty and staff at xmusm have surmounted numerous difficulties and ridden the wind and waves to not only enhance the teaching and research competences in an all-round manner but also cultivate large numbers of outstanding management talents for china’s prosperous economic development. seasons pass, and time accumulates, eventually towering overhead. with nearly a century of robust growth, xmusm now has established itself as one of the top 10 business schools nationwide and respectively earned its reputation as the veritable cradle of cfo talents in china.
